Here’s why Minecraft: Story Mode episodes are $100 each on Xbox 360 right now

Something strange is happening with Minecraft: Story Mode. The game is currently on the verge of disappearing, at least from digital storefronts, but it’s reappeared on the Xbox 360’s digital storefron, and at an insanely high markup? So what’s going on? Unfortunately, the price is more of a last gasp designed to deter gamers from buying the dying game. The games were previously delisted from sale, given how the servers that support them will be shutting down in about a week. But according to the Minecraft: Story Mode Facebook page, taking it off the Xbox 360 store resulted in the users who already owned…

How to easily type emoji, emoticons, and symbols in Windows 10

Welcome to TNW Basics, a collection of tips, guides, and advice on how to easily get the most out of your gadgets, apps, and other stuff. We’re all used to typing emoji on our smartphones and tablets, but not so much on our PCs. I certainly don’t know of any desktop or laptop keyboards with an emoji button. But shouldn’t we be able to be as expressive on our primary computers? It used to be that you had to access emoji via a virtual keyboard, download a third party app, or copy and paste them from the web. That’s clunky😤. Thankfully,…

Review: Walmart’s $64 tablet is a pleasant surprise in a non-descript package

I’m going to come right out and say it: I didn’t have high expectations when I agreed to review Onn’s 8-inch Android tablet, a Walmart exclusive. But I’m glad I did because this is a decent little slab. My trepidation wasn’t because Onn is one of Walmart‘s veritably untested tech brands, nor did it have anything to do with the fact that the tablet only costs $64. No, the reason I didn’t have high expectations is because most tablets that aren’t made by big tech companies suck. Sure there’s an outlier or two, but nine times out of ten a tablet…

Sony’s already won the next console war thanks to PSVR

Sony skipped gaming’s biggest event, E3, this year and Microsoft pounced. Xbox stormed the stage with a veritable bevvy of announcements. about new games and services, and a slew of details about its next generation console — dubbed Project Scarlett. It was a fantastic showing for what will surely be the next generation’s console war loser. I know it’s pretty gauche for fan-people to declare one system better than the other – especially considering none of us have played either unreleased console. Just to be clear though: I’m not a PlayStation fanboy, I’m an Xbox One-lover. But I can see the future of gaming,…

Coroner claims woman overdosed on cannabis, scientists call bullshit

In the history of human existence there isn’t a single scrap of peer-reviewed, verified evidence supporting the idea that it’s possible to overdose on cannabis. Yet, somehow, a coroner from Louisiana claims to be 100-percent positive that a 39-year-old woman’s become the first to do so. His reasoning? She had THC in her system and his team couldn’t come up with any other explanations for her death. The doctor in question, Christy Montegut, told The New Orleans Advocate: It looked like it was all THC because her autopsy showed no physical disease or afflictions that were the cause of death.…
