Deal: Nextbit Robin just $299 on Amazon through May 10th

The Nextbit Robin is one of the rare smartphones today that has actually found a unique angle to take, with 100GB of cloud storage bolstering the internal 32GB and ensuring that all but the most storage hungry of users will never have to think about filling up their smartphone.

The Robin typically goes for $399, which is a pretty competitive price for a mid-range offering, but through May 10th on Amazon you can snap one up for $299, the same price that early bird Kickstarter backers enjoyed. Both the Mint and Midnight colors are available and shipping immediately. Keep in mind that these are GSM-only devices (the CDMA version was canned a while back), so Verizon and Sprint users must look elsewhere.

I haven’t personally used the Nextbit Robin, but as you might expect from a group of former Googlers, the phone hits the right marks in most places and everyone I’ve spoken to that owns one has positive things to say. Further support is the 4.7 out of 5 stars it enjoys on Amazon, meaning that it is holding up well with normal users as well. (Yes, I’m saying the people I know aren’t normal.)

If you are looking for a low-cost option and like the idea of a smartphone with a unique look and ideas fueling it, the Nextbit Robin for $299 is a solid deal.
