Samsung Galaxy S7 Active for AT&T leaks out in new images

Samsung’s Galaxy S Active lineup, the more ruggedized variants of its flagship devices, has been popular enough that the manufacturer has launched new versions for several years now. And it looks like this year won’t be any different.

Samsung VN has surfaced several images of what appears to be the Galaxy S7 Active, which is slated to head to AT&T at some point in the near future. The handset features a digital camouflage pattern on the back along with a rubber bumper running along the top, sides, and bottom. The Galaxy S7 Active appears to be thicker than the standard Galaxy S7, and the metal frame has reportedly been replaced by a polycarbonate and rubber design, which should help lessen the damage if the owner drops their phone.

The capacitive buttons have, as is par for the course with these handsets, been replaced with physical buttons. The handset is also said to be IP68-certified for water and dust resistance.

As far as a release date goes, that’s still unknown at this point. But now that these images are starting to find their way online, it probably won’t be too long.

Do you use the Active lineup of devices?
