This update has been coming for a long time. The BlackBerry Priv received Marshmallow back in April, but the carrier models have been feeling left out. Fortunately, T-Mobile is finally updating its Priv to the latest version of Android.
Marshmallow includes a lot of new features, and though the update doesn’t seem huge, it’s very different under the hood. You get Doze mode for better battery life, customizable app permissions for security, better volume management, Google Now on Tap, and a lot of improvements to make the phone smoother and faster.
If you own a T-Mobile Priv, check for updates in Settings and get ready to download a 1.3GB update. Make sure your battery is charged and you have some storage available!
