HTC has had some struggles in recent years, but the company has always found a fair amount of success in its Desire lineup of mid-range smartphones. HTC is again turning to that line for 2016, with details leaking on two new arrivals, the Desire 10 Pro and the Desire 10 Lifestyle. Both devices are taking advantage of the 10 branding from the flagship HTC 10, but this latest leak from VentureBeat only has details on the Desire 10 Lifestyle. Here’s a breakdown of what we can expect to see:
- 5.5-inch 720p display
- Quad-core Snapdragon processor
- 2GB/3GB of RAM
- 16GB/32GB of storage
- 13-megapixel rear camera
- 5-megapixel front-facing camera
- BoomSound stereo speakers
- Android 6.0 Marshmallow with HTC Sense
The Desire 10 Lifestyle is reportedly the lower-specced of the two models. In addition to the BoomSound speakers, HTC is also bundling earbuds that will have an increased frequency range, making the Desire 10 Lifestyle have something of a focus on audio.
As far as the design goes, we’re told to expect solid colors with a matte finish. There will be a metallic trim surrounding the edges of the device and extending as accents to areas such as the power button and camera.
Both devices are slated for release at the end of September, and there aren’t any details regarding pricing. With the specs, we’d expect the Desire 10 Lifestyle to be fairly affordable, as it’s not aiming for a flagship market. With the unknown specs of the Desire 10 Pro, it’s hard to say where that device will fall in the hierarchy of things.
We’ll keep you posted on any further updates or leaks.
