Kyocera’s rugged DuraForce PRO is heading to AT&T

Less than a week ago, Kyocera officially introduced their newest rugged Android-based smartphone, the DuraForce PRO, and now AT&T’s hot on their heels with its own launch announcement.

Kyocera didn’t confirm which carriers it would grace with its presence, but AT&T has cleared that up, saying today that they plan on carrying the DuraForce PRO at some point in the future. That’s right, AT&T isn’t announcing a specific launch date just yet, but this is a start for anyone that’s interested in a new rugged phone.

AT&T will reveal the launch date and price for the handset “at a later date.”

Here’s a refresher for the specs: 5-inch 1080p HD display, octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a pair of front-facing speakers, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of built-in storage. There’s a 13-megapixel camera on the back and a 5-megapixel shooter on the other side. The battery is measured in at 3240mAh, and it’s removable, too. Finally, the DuraForce PRO features a Military Standard 810G rating, which means it can withstand a whole host of terrible situations, like extreme heat, vibration, shock, and more.

Are you considering the Kyocera DuraForce PRO?
