Today marks the official launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. Its available in a variety of colors and locales around the globe, but some customers that pre-ordered certain variants of the newest flagship phablet are finding delay notices in their inboxes rather than phones on their doorsteps.
A report from Android Central, citing unnamed sources, says that pre-orders made for the Blue Coral and Silver Titanium variants of the Galaxy Note 7 in the United States and Canada may have to wait up to three weeks for those orders to be delivered. The report states that it isn’t manufacturing issues this time around causing the delay, but rather Samsung underestimating the pre-order numbers for those particular models.
In a statement to AC, Samsung Canada said, “We’ve experienced an unprecedented number of pre-orders and we’re excited to begin fulfilling orders on August 19th. Over the coming weeks, we’ll work with our valued carrier and retail partners to provide wide-reaching national retail availability.” Other carriers, both in the United States and in Canada, did not provide responses.
If you pre-ordered the Coral Blue or Silver Titanium Galaxy Note7, have you received your device? Or do you have to wait for your new smartphone? Let us know in the comments.
