Google Assistant learns two new accents

Being helpful is just one part of the Google Assistant experience. Another part is offering up interesting ways to interact with the digital assistant.

So, how about some new accents? Google has just announced that it has added two new accents for U.S.-based Assistant users. They are “British Racing Green” and “Sydney Harbour Blue”, both of which can be found in Settings and tapping on the Assistant panel. Then go into the Assistant Voice option to select which one you want to hear.

These new accents are only for English speakers in the U.S. for now. Nothing else is changing here, so you’ll still be able to set timers, ask for the news, get reminders, and all of the other standard Assistant features, now relayed back to you with a different accent.

What do you think of the new accents?
