In the latest Game of Thrones’ (soporific) saga last night, the allies (Democrats) have begun to squabble among themselves, break promises, and drink heavily. They are resigned to losing to an omnipotent enemy whose followers they can’t understand. They now have strong women in leadership positions, but they are squabbling with each other, as well, and now find themselves under a man whose birthright supersedes them all. They are going to use a wheelchair-bound young man as bait to try to kill The Dead leader. Instead of marching into the countryside, they are willing to be besieged inside a fortress. (The sound you hear is the original books’ author rolling in his grave.)
