Top of the Morning to You

I’m on a 6:15 am train out of New York headed home. I love the early morning, No one has had a chance yet to be in a bad mood (except for the chronically unhappy). People seldom say, “Good afternoon,” but they usually say, “Good morning!” Everyone is fresh, no one is tired if this is the start of their day. You get from midtown to Penn Station in five minutes instead of 20. Über arrives at the hotel within two minutes. The hotel, the driver, and the Acela people are offering me coffee and water.

What we need are more mornings and fewer afternoons.

Are you making the most of the start of the day and are you starting it early enough?
