How you start your day determines how you live your day; it determines your future and the quality of your life.
Every day is a new day, new you, and a new opportunity. Today is your chance to become who you were designed to become, to do better, and to be better.
If you decide that this is the day you will start your new life, have in mind that this is the day you plant seeds that will grow into greatness in your future. So, it’s time to set your day right and every morning (or whenever you wake up) from now on–and stick to it.
Here are 7 ways to develop a morning routine that works for you and start getting with up with a purpose.
1. Get up early
When you get up early, there are less chances of others bothering you. The early hours of the morning are the best time to think, set your goals, and create. There will be fewer distractions, and you can spend some quality time in peace and use that time to clear your mind of any doubt and negativity.
Do whatever works best for you, just stay on the strong foundation that early mornings will set and lead to a strong life.
2. Be grateful
Every morning when you wake up, the first thing to say is: Thank you!
If you start your day with gratitude, it will get you in a strong and clear state of mind. Every successful person will tell you that the secret of their success is gratitude because gratitude is for winners.
Try to spend at least 5 minutes in the state of gratitude and thankfulness for all that you have. Gratitude is the most powerful connection you have to your higher self.
Can you think of a more amazing way to start your day than by connecting to your higher self? This way, life gets easier. For example, when you confront with a challenge you just look at it for what it’s worth – it’s just a challenge, everybody is dealing with them.
3. Stay away from social media and news
Don’t check your phone first thing that you open your eyes. Don’t check your email or social networks. Don’t read newspapers or watch tv news. You will have the rest of your day to fry your brain with them, but the morning is time for clearing your mind of external distractions. This is the time to power up your mind with positive and powerful thoughts.
Invite only good things into your life, don’t let negative things hold you down.
4. Visualize and meditate
Meditate, clear your mind of all negativity and visualize what you want from this day. This is your day. You control how you react to everything today, so believe that great things are coming your way.
Visualize you achieving your goals and don’t forget that you are planting seeds for your future.
5. Set your goals and intentions for the day
You need clarity in your life. How will you reach that most sought out destination if you don’t know where that place is? How will you make your dreams come to fruition if you don’t know what they are?
Write down your goals, what are you going to accomplish today, what is your little victory for today. Believe you can do it and just do it!
6. Get your body movin’
Work out, go jogging, do yoga. Exercise is good for your blood flow, and that means more oxygen in our system. If you can’t do your whole exercise routine, do a quick version or go for a short walk.
Create a habit that builds a healthy body and mind.
7. Smile
Say to yourself: Today, I will smile. I will go through my day with a smile on my face.
Don’t start your day like most of the people. They are holding a grudge to others. They are mad at everyone and themselves because they don’t accept that they are responsible for their own life. Don’t be stressed out, worried, and filled with negative emotions first thing in the morning.
The way you start your day will transform everything. It will change the way you treat others, your job, your relationship, your health, and most importantly, the quality of your life.
So smile! Force it if you have to, but smile!
Even if nothing comes this day, your attitude will be better than any other day, and that alone will lead to great things. Just keep growing, evolving, and giving the best of you every day; that is the best recipe for you achieving great things.
