Eve Energy is Elgato’s answer to why your electric bill is so high

Elgato is rounding out it’s Eve lineup with Energy, a connected plug to help you monitor how much energy you’re using. Eve Energy does what most connected outlets do; it occupies an outlet, and uses pass-through charging to monitor just how much energy you’re actually sipping from that outlet. Naturally, there’s also a view in the Eve app for checking out how much energy you’re consuming via Eve Energy.
